# Locking the LP tokens

Once the liquidity has been added, you will see the option to lock the liquidity even before the trade opens. It is your decision to lock before or after you open the trade. All liquidity locks are handled through Pinklock and you have the option to choose the duration and percentage of the LP tokens you want to lock.

Choose the lock duration and confirm the lock. This action is not reversible so make sure that you understand what you are doing. You cannot access the LP tokens till the duration of the lock has ended.&#x20;
